Examining Tripleurospermum inodorum (Scentless Mayweed) (Asteraceae) inland

A recently-published paper on Tripleurospermum (Asteraceae) gave the impetus to examine a small population of this genus waste ground in Bradford (v.c.63). few plants appeared be T. inodorum (L.) Sch. Bip. (Scentless Mayweed) but others had features both species and maritimum W.D.J. Koch (Sea Mayweed), suggesting hybrid x maritimum. This supports occurrence at inland sites, where any backcrossing further introgression would mainly with inodorum. In addition, presence pure localities cannot ruled out (perhaps as halophyte). Such findings reinforce importance careful examination coastal populations.
